Wiki-Go is played with others: in the chat, at the market, in clans and in GO mode. These rules complete the terms of use. By playing, you agree to follow them.
1 Respect other players
Not allowed:
- insults, repeated mockery and gratuitous provocation;
- harassment: flooding a player with messages, targeting them in the chat, urging other players to go after them, creating an account to get around a block;
- threats of any kind, even “as a joke”: violence, disclosing information, retaliation outside the game;
- hateful or discriminatory remarks (origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability…);
- racism, antisemitism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny and any glorification of Nazism, terrorism or crimes against humanity: symbols, salutes, slogans, coded references, Holocaust denial, whether in the chat, usernames, clan names, albums or avatars. Zero tolerance: permanent ban, even for a “joke”;
- sexual, violent or shocking content, including in usernames, clan names and albums;
- impersonation: pretending to be another player, a public figure or the Wiki-Go team.
2 Privacy
- Never share personal data: name, address, phone number, photos, social media, whether yours or someone else’s.
- In GO mode, never try to locate or find a player in real life.
- The Wiki-Go team will never ask for your password or for a code received by email.
3 Cheating
Not allowed:
- multiple accounts: one account per person. Creating accounts to feed a main account (cards, Wikibucks, auctions, trades, referrals) is the most heavily punished form of cheating;
- faking your location in GO mode: fake GPS, emulators, location-spoofing apps;
- bots, scripts, macros and automated tools of any kind;
- deliberately exploiting a bug or a flaw. If you find one, report it to support: it is appreciated, and sometimes rewarded;
- arrangements between players to artificially inflate a quest, a leaderboard or auctions.
A referral between two people who live together or share a device is still possible, but its rewards may be checked by the team before they are paid out.
4 Real money
Cards, Wikibucks and accounts have no monetary value and can only be exchanged within the game. Selling them, buying them or trading them for real money, gifts or services, or sharing an account, is not allowed. Be wary of anyone who offers this kind of deal: it is almost always a scam.
5 Spam and advertising
No repeated messages, dubious links, advertising or excessive recruiting for a clan, a server or another game.
6 Reporting
A message, a player or a card bothers you? Use the Report button in the game. Every report is read by the team. A message reported by several players may be hidden automatically until a decision is made. Repeated false reports are themselves punished.
7 Sanctions
Depending on how serious it is and on repeat offences, the team may:
- hide or delete a message;
- mute you (no access to the chat for a set time);
- restrict features: market, trades, gifts, GO mode;
- take back cards, Wikibucks or rewards obtained by cheating;
- suspend the account temporarily;
- ban the account permanently, along with linked accounts.
Serious threats, clear harassment, large-scale cheating and multiple accounts can lead straight to a ban, without prior warning. Illegal content may be reported to the authorities.
8 Appealing a decision
Think you were sanctioned by mistake? Write to us at contact@wiki-go.com with your username. Every request is reviewed by a member of the team.
